Collaboration Model with UNIR
The EPB Program Evaluation and Accreditation Process
The process of introducing UNIR’s European Bachelor Program begins when an education centre send an application to the UNIR Evaluation Committee. The assessment of European Bachelor Degree proposals is carried out based on a set of criteria and guidelines which evaluate the quality of the syllabuses presented, with regards to:
1) The program qualification
Every Degree proposal should include an appropriate, comprehensive description, complete with the academic level or aim, and which clarifies the course content.
2) Objectives and competencies
The general objectives of the program and competencies to be acquired should correspond to the academic, professional or specialised orientation intended.
3) The systems regulating student access and admission
The Degree must have procedures regulating admission and access channels, and provide orientation for students starting theur courses.
4) Academic and support staff, resources, facilities and services
The teaching staff, as well as the resources, facilities and support services for each degree should be tailored towards the attainment of the general objectives and competencies stated in the degree proposal.
5) Efficiency in relation to the expected results
The degree must have a set of procedures established for evaluating the progress made and the results achieved by the students in their studies.
6) Quality guarantee system reviewing and improving syllabuses
The centre where the UNIR EBP courses are given must have procedures for guaranteeing and be equipped with formal mechanisms for the approval, supervision, periodic review and improvement of the course.
7) Suitability of the introduction schedule planned
The process of introducing new courses should be planned within a time frame, and have a mechanism for helping students on existing syllabuses adapt to the new ones, where applicable.
UNIR validates the curriculum of the programs offered by the local universities or institutions. Validation is defined as a process by which an awarding institution judges that a program developed and delivered by another institution is of appropriate quality and standard to lead to its award.
